Pickering Contemporary Home

This Pickering home renovation was completed to fully re-establish an existing property through a complete interior overhaul and the introduction of a legal basement apartment.

The scope included two new kitchens, four bathrooms, new flooring throughout, upgraded stair and railing systems, new windows and exterior doors, custom cabinetry, and a full refresh of interior finishes.

A contemporary design direction guided the transformation, with a focus on clarity, continuity, and improved spatial function across all levels.

The basement was fully reconfigured to meet legal secondary suite requirements, introducing independent living functionality and improved overall livability within the home.

Execution

The project required a coordinated, full-scale approach within an existing structure that had not undergone prior renovation. Basement permitting introduced added complexity, requiring careful alignment between design intent, code requirements, and construction sequencing. With clients based abroad for portions of the project, Design and Production maintained close communication to ensure decisions were resolved efficiently and accurately throughout the build. The result is a completely renewed home, defined by functional clarity, cohesive execution, and a high level of finish across the space.

“Our expectations were exceeded. The team always took the time to explain all the upcoming work to us in detail. We felt very well taken care of. All work was completed on time, precisely, and professionally.

We highly recommend them and would gladly work with them again in the future.”
