This Forest Hill home was reworked to better support the evolving needs of a growing family, addressing a layout that lacked clarity, privacy, and day-to-day functionality.
While the home had strong underlying structure, key areas—particularly the second floor and basement—were not performing as intended. The redesign focused on improving spatial flow and livability, introducing a more resolved upper level with an added bedroom, updated bathrooms, and a reconfigured basement. A new backyard deck extended the home’s usability beyond its interior.
Material selections were kept clean and cohesive, with custom cabinetry, quartz surfaces, and tile applied throughout to establish a consistent and modern foundation.

Structural corrections and system upgrades were carried out alongside the redesign, including HVAC, electrical, insulation, and basement waterproofing. These interventions ensured the home performs as seamlessly as it now feels—resolving underlying issues while supporting long-term comfort, stability, and everyday use.
“The work was on time, at the quality expected and at the price agreed. I have seen several friends go through reno-hell with construction delays, sketchy contractors playing games, being overbooked, cutting corners and so on, I think we possibly could have paid less but at the cost of the peace of mind and the added stress from common problems with low-cost contractors.”
