Thanks to professional renovators we can stay in our homes and neighbourhoods, and still get the renewed spaces that accommodate our contemporary lifestyles, writes Dave Wilkes.
Golden Bee Homes received an award for the Best Renovation $75,000 to $150,000 (before picture shown) in BILD’s Renovation and Custom Home Awards, as well as the Renovator of the Year award, which is based on survey results from clients.
Our modern lives are different from the way we lived 20, 10 or even five years ago, and we want our homes and living spaces to reflect that.
Thanks to professional renovators we can stay in our homes and neighbourhoods, and still get the renewed spaces that accommodate our contemporary lifestyles.
I was reminded of this trend when BILD announced the winning projects in our Renovation and Custom Home Awards, which recognize excellence among BILD’s professional renovator members. Each of the “after” photos featured open, light-filled rooms. If you would like to see them all, search #BILDRenoAwards on Instagram.
The professional renovators behind these award-winning projects are GTA-based members of the national RenoMark program, which connects homeowners with contractors who have agreed to abide by a renovation-specific Code of Conduct.
If you’ve been inspired to update your home, start by speaking with a RenoMark renovator. You can find one in your area by searching on www.renomark.ca.
